Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) was established in 2022 by David Johnstone, Andy Every-Clayton and Brant Webb with the view to better bridge the gap between project planning and delivery by providing project support throughout all stages of construction, while maintaining a key emphasis on reducing unnecessary risk exposure.

Our collective industry experience has identified there are often a number of gaps not accurately captured or conveyed within either Tender or Construction programmes, which ultimately expose both Contractors and Clients to unforeseen risk around timely delays and unrecoverable costs. Clearly identifying these risk items, and demonstrating these within programmes, enables transparent communication and understanding around the impact to all parties, and provides an early mitigation opportunity for when progress is not tracking as planned. This approach will ultimately reduce the afterthought of cost recovery and difficult conversations when trying to recover lost profits – be it for project teams waiting to commence, or proceed, with work onsite.

Having the opportunity to experience project delivery from start to finish has reiterated the importance of identifying any discrepancies and potential issues as early as possible within the project timeline. Early identification of these issues increases the opportunity to reduce the impact of risk exposure to all parties; be it the Client, Designer or Contractor. This has resulted in IPD’s focus when delivering work to provide clear transparent information, with a strong attention to highlighting and resolving issues that have the potential to create unnecessary risk, as early as possible.
